On a good day, I will take 100 pictures or more. I take pictures of flowers, buildings, trees, objects, and people. I am especially proud of some of the portraits I have taken of individuals and families, especially children. I like to catch people in their natural settings, at home, in the house or out of doors, at a park having a picnic or playing with their children. Every year just before Easter, I take pictures of our church's annual Easter Egg Hunt at the home of Carol Buescher. Those pictures have been very satisfying to me, and even though many parents take their own pictures, many of them like to have my pictures also. I use a Fujifilm S6000fd, 6.2 megapixel digital camera. I edit and process the pictures using the most up-to-date Photoshop (currently CS3), Corel Paint Shop Pro, and Paint.NET. I do not consider myself a "Glamour" photographer, but I do want to do something different in my portrait photography. I experiment with different techniques and different backgrounds in an attempt to match the photograph to the personality of the subject. And I believe that a well done black and white portrait can be more effective than color. Color sometimes get in the way of what I believe is important in photography: shape and light. Here are some samples of my work. If you are interested in my photographing your family, please contact me. Use the email link at the bottom of this page.
